MEN’S TENNIS

The 17th-ranked Racers of the University of Northwestern Ohio were too much for a Forester men’s tennis team that wasn’t at full strength Tuesday afternoon at Klopfenstein Courts. After sweeping the hosts in doubles, UNOH (1-2) did the same in singles action to blank HU 7-0.

The last time Huntington was on the wrong end of a sweep dates back to the spring of 2018 when they lost to IWU 5-0 at the Mark Richards Classic. Today’s loss drops HU to 1-2 on the year with both losses coming to Top 25 teams.

Eckert and crew jump back into conference play tomorrow when they travel to Grace for a 4:00 p.m. match-up with the Lancers.
