Benefits of Standing/Moving vs. Sitting

A recent study in the European Heart Journal found that people who spent more time standing or moving during the course of their week (which included getting up from sitting at the computer) had the following benefits:
1. Lower levels of cholesterol
2. Lower levels of blood sugar
3. Lower BMI (body mass index)
4. Lower waist circumference.
