WOMEN’S GOLF

The Crossroads League has announced its 2019 Women’s Golf All-Conference nominees and among the list is Huntington University junior Betsy Schroeder.

Schroeder was one of six players to be named to the Honorable Mention Team. As the Foresters’ No. 1 player throughout 2018-19, she is just the second player in program history to be recognized by the league. Women’s golf is the newest sport at Huntington with its inaugural season dating back to 2015-16.

The Fort Wayne native (Homestead HS) finished in the top 20 of every tournament she competed in this year which included finishing 14th overall at the Crossroads League Championships back on April 22-23.

“This is a testament to Betsy’s work ethic and maturity on the course in competition over the last two years,” said Coach Sholund. “We are happy for her to receive this honor and look forward to her continued growth as a player and leader for our program.”
