SOFTBALL
The Crossroads League has announced its 2019 All-Conference honors for softball, and included on the list was Paige Eichelberger, Kiera Stacy and Jada Crofoot.
For the sophomore Eichelberger, this is her first All-Conference designation. The Avon native (Avon HS) led the team in hitting with her .412 average, the 6th best in the league. She tallied 63 hits on the year for the No. 9 spot among her CL peers while driving in 19 runs and scoring 29 times.
Additionally, Eichelberger boasted an on base percentage of .465 to rank 6th in the Crossroads League standings. She carried a .529 slugging percentage and racked up 81 total bases.
Stacy joins Eichelberger as an All-Conference pick. The rookie from North Manchester (Manchester HS) splashed onto the scene to land a spot among the league’s best. She wrapped up the year ranked 11th in the league in batting average (.391) and on base percentage (.447).
The freshman catcher finished with 50 hits, 13 for extra bases, and posted a .508 slugging percentage. She knocked in 20 runs.
Rounding out the awards was Crofoot being named Honorable Mention. After sitting out all of last year due to injury, the sophomore slugger returned to the field with a vengeance. She pounded out 47 hits which included a team-leading 13 doubles, the 10th best in the conference.
Crofoot collected 21 RBI on the year and finished second on the team in total bases with 68.
