AOTA Annual Conference April 4 – 7, 2019
Second-year OTD students Alex Cool, Madeline Kreill, Ali Lannom, and Jocelyn Spitz also had the opportunity to represent Huntington University at the AOTA Conference through a poster presentation developed with faculty Drs. Nathan Short and Patricia Henton. The students presented research on the positive impact of cross-cultural service learning on the development of OTD students’ cultural competence and relevant OT character traits. Students were able to share their experiences in serving with Joni & Friends’ Wheels for the World, providing seating and mobility services to individuals in Guatemala and Romania. Congratulations to all of you!
