WOMEN’S TENNIS

The Huntington women’s tennis team opened up the spring portion of its season Saturday afternoon with a 9-0 loss to Bellarmine University at the Louisville Indoor Racquet Club.

The loss is HU’s fifth loss of the year against nine wins. For the Knights, they entered the afternoon with six matches under their belt this spring as they extend their win streak to five and improve to 6-1 this spring, 8-1 overall.

“This was a tough opening spring match against a very solid opponent,” said Coach Ferguson. “Hopefully we will be able to learn from this match and make the necessary corrections.”

The Foresters aren’t scheduled to play again until March 30 at Holy Cross.
