Student Thanks Scholarship Donors

Scholarship donors love to meet their student recipients whenever possible and last week was no different. Sunanda Thompson (class of 2019) had the opportunity to visit with Richard and Deloris Frederick and thank them for their generosity this past Thursday. The Fredericks were so grateful to hear her story and how she loves Jesus. Laughter and tears of thankfulness filled the donor’s living room as Sunanda shared that without scholarship support, she might not have been able to attend HU. As a senior preparing to graduate, Sunanda took it one step further and invited the donors to her graduation so that they can meet her parents. They quickly accepted and said it would be an honor to be her guests.

Through the generosity of many donors, endowed and annually funded scholarships, as well as contributions to the Forester Fund, provide the opportunity for students to experience HU every day. I hope this story fills your heart with joy as it did mine. From Forester to Forester, HU indeed is a family with a heart to help students.
