MEN’S BASKETBALL

The Huntington University men’s basketball team will host all HCCSC 5th graders as part of its first ever Integrity Day against Ohio University Chillicothe on December 20.

Over 360 Huntington County 5th graders along with their teachers and chaperones will participate in the event. The day will start with a program at 10:00 a.m. where local pastor Josh Kesler will introduce students to the NAIA’s Five Core Values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship and servant leadership after which students will invade Platt Arena to cheer on the Foresters.

The Salamonie 5th grade choir will sing the national anthem prior to tip-off at noon.

“We are super excited to host ‘Integrity Day’ on Thursday,” said Coach Ty Platt. “The opportunity to speak with and showcase the men of integrity and character who we have in our basketball program to all HCCSC 5th graders is tremendous.

“It will be a fun day on our campus.”

The Foresters are currently 9-5 overall, 2-3 in league play. HU’s game with Chillicothe is the last contest before Christmas.
