WOMEN’S TENNIS

Playing on the friendly confines of Klopfenstein courts, the HU women’s tennis team wrapped up league play Wednesday afternoon with a 6-3 win over Bethel. With this win, Huntington (9-3, 6-3) finishes in a three-way tie for third in the final CL standings with Grace and Taylor.

The tiebreaker goes to whichever team has the best record against the other two teams but in this case, each team posted a 1-1 record. The second tiebreaker is total team points won in the head-to-head dual matches among the three teams but again, it was mute as points accumulated for each team was the same (9).

The third tiebreaker is total number of sets won in the head-to-head dual matches among the three teams and until the official count is tallied, the final order in the standings is to be announced.

October 2 kicks off the Crossroads League tournament.
