Huntington University senior Matea Knispel dominated in her team’s 5-0 win over Bluffton last Wednesday to claim the Crossroads League women’s soccer offensive player of the week badge.
The Beavers couldn’t contain of the 5-7 midfielder as she registered a hat trick and dished out an assist to account for all but one of her team’s goals. When all the dust had settled, the Fort Wayne native fired off 17 shots, 11 on frame.
Knispel has six goals and four assists on the year and currently ranks 9th in the NAIA in shots on goal per game (3.75) and 12th in shots per game (6.00). For her career, she boasts 31 goals and 15 assists.
HU (3-6) opens up league play on Wednesday with a road trip to Grace with kick-off slated for 7:00 p.m.
