Huntington University sophomore Jenna Tacosik collected her 1,000th career assist Friday night in the Foresters’ 3-1 win over Mount Vernon.

In addition to directing HU’s offense by handing out 8.9 assists per set, Tacosik has also racked up 55 kills, 124 digs and a team-leading 27 aces this season. To date, the Albion native has 1,042 assists in a Forester jersey.

Tacosik currently ranks 16th among her NAIA peers in total assists (617). She also holds the 41st spot nationally in total service aces (27) and 50th spot in assists per game (8.94).

“Even with some health setbacks, Jenna has been a relentless worker,” said Shondell. “As fierce a competitor we have, there is never a doubt that she wants to succeed.”

The Foresters (6-11, 3-6) gear up for second round of conference play by hosting #16 Saint Francis on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
