Timon of Athens: Shakespeare at Pendleton
Colleagues,
Pendleton has set a deadline of this Thursday for me to get names of those interested in attending the next Shakespeare at Pendleton play.
It’s audience building time. Up to 50 members of the outside public may attend the Friday, July 27th, 6:30 p.m. performance of Timon of Athens at the Pendleton Correctional Facility. Unfortunately, this may not include any member of an inmate’s family or associates unless the associates are already Pendleton volunteers. Outside audience members must be at Pendleton by 5:50 for check-in. There are five requirements for each person wanting to attend:
1. I will need your name as it appears on a driver’s license or a passport.
2. I need your birthdate, including the year of birth. No one under 18 years of age will be able to attend
3. I need your email address to provide any later information to everyone attending. All interested people should respond to me directly so that I can communicate with them directly at jheller@huntington.edu.
4. If you say you are going to attend, please consider that as a commitment made to the performers.
5. If you plan to attend, please consider that as a commitment to the prison’s dress code and rules for visitors. I will send it to you if you are interested. Please interpret the rules conservatively. If something seems questionable, it’s probably not okay.
You may share this email with anyone or any group you think may be interested in attending. Priority will be given to other Pendleton volunteers, but we should still have plenty of seats available beyond them.
If you’re able to attend, I look forward to hearing from you and seeing you at the show.
