Math Course for the Core

If you are advising students who need to satisfy the Mathematical Science requirement in the Core Curriculum, please consider MA 115: Mathematics for Society and the Liberal Arts. Unless your student has a major that requires Probability and Statistics, MA 115 is usually a more appropriate course. It is intended to connect mathematics to other disciplines and there is freedom to explore interesting applications. Furthermore, enrollments are often smaller than Prob & Stats and MA 115 is only three credit-hours (as opposed to four).
