September PEER Award Recipients
Recipients of the Huntington University PEER AWARD for the month of September are Tom King and Carla MacDonald.
Polly Tribolet passed the PEER AWARD to Tom King. Tom currently serves as Track & Field Coach and has been with HU for almost 30 years. In recognizing Tom, Polly writes “Tom King truly has a servant’s heart. He has coached, taught, mentored and touched many, many lives in his 30 years here at the University. Tom is a gentle, loving, Godly man who exemplifies the mission of HU at the highest level. The campus community is blessed to have Tom King on it’s team!”
Mark Hesting passed the PEER AWARD to Carla MacDonald. Carla serves as Associate Professor of Social Work and has been with HU for 8 years. In recognizing Carla, Mark writes, “I first came to know Carla from the delicious cheese balls she’s known for at Christmas time. As someone outside of her department, one of the things I have observed is the great rapport that Carla has with the students. As I go from building to building fulfilling my duties, it is always uplifting to see the positive comments that students post on her board. This, to me, demonstrates tremendous respect that students have for her.”
