I am overjoyed to announce the birth of our 8th son Daniel! He was born this morning at 7:04 and weighed 8 lbs. 9.5 oz. This brings our total family here on earth up to thirteen members counting my wife and myself. We are incredibly and amazingly blessed by God! Welcoming Baby Boy Babb

We are happy to announce the birth of Tobias William Babb on March 27 at 3:55 a.m. He measured in at 7 lbs., 2 oz. and 20.5″. We are all doing well (if a little sleep deprived) and according to the staff at the birthing center, Toby is healthy, strong and laid back.

We want to thank our fellow faculty and staff for their amazing support and care during the last several weeks with both the sad and joyful times our family has experienced. We are truly blessed by you, our HU family. Thank you for everything!

It is with regret that we announce a need to postpone the Babb baby shower. Due to the loss of Tanner’s father over the weekend, Tanner and Julie will be with family this week. We hope that you will remember them in your prayers in these next coming days. We are working to reschedule the baby shower for a day next week. Please watch for upcoming announcements as we wish to still honor and celebrate this new life, which will be arriving soon! Thanks for your support of Tanner and Julie during this time of such extreme emotions.

Seven Baker Hall members beat world record for longest Four Square marathon

Seven members of Baker Hall beat the Guinness World Record for consecutive games of Four Square by playing the game for 31 consecutive hours. The old record was 29 hours straight, set by Argentinian college students in 2009.

Senior Brooks Hooley, senior Matt Whitney, sophomore Derek Zurcher, freshman Brett Smith, junior Paul Monroe, junior Stephen Crane and sophomore Austin Flores, began play at 10 a.m. Jan. 24 in Baker/Roush lounge and concluded their game at 7:10 p.m. Jan. 25.

The players played close to 10,000 rounds of Four Square.
