The American Red Cross will have a blood drive on Wednesday, April 18, from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm in the Habecker Dining Commons (upper level). Please consider donating and encouraging students to donate by giving extra credit. Sign-ups will be next week over lunch and dinner. Thank you again for your support.

SERVANT LEADERSHIP AWARD

The Friesen Center is accepting nominations for the Servant Leadership Award. The purpose of this award is to recognize students who have demonstrated leadership in the area of community and ministry service. Only juniors with a 2.5 GPA or above are eligible for consideration. TWO $1000 awards will be granted. Recipients will be awarded $750 and asked to designate $250 to the charity of their choice. Nomination forms can be obtained from Norris Friesen and must be submitted by Friday April 20, 2018. Recipients will be recognized at Forester Night on May 8.

Huntington University has hired 12 student ambassadors who will spend the 18-19 academic year representing the student body to alumni, family and friends of the institution.

Those students are Stephen Brown, a biology/pre-med major from Mansfield, OH,
Brad Buckley, a Christian ministries/AgriBusiness major from Reedsville, OH, Jaron Dean, an economics & finance major from Pakistan, Abigail Matovich, a health science/OTA major from Ft. Wayne, IN, Adrianna McNab, a biology/pre-med major from Ft. Wayne, IN, Molly Mitchell a social work and psychology double major from Cicero, IN, Bailey O’Dell, a health science/OTA major from Goshen, IN; Travis Rippe an exercise science major from Fort Wayne, IN and Bailey Testerman, a DMA film major from Manteno, IL.

Kathleen Morrical, a psychology/sociology major from Goshen, IN, Matea Knispel, a biology/pre-med major from Churubusco, IN and Jacob Hansen, a math/actuarial major from Fort Wayne, IN are returning for their second year with the program.

The students will serve by hosting HU Foundation breakfasts, participating in prayer ministry luncheons, hosting Homecoming events, welcoming the Board of Trustees to meetings, and showing appreciation to donors with thank you calls and letters.

Athletic Training Room Dedication

This Thursday, April 19, we will dedicate the new athletic training room in the PLEX in honor of the late Holly Sale, and her mother, Claire Connelly, as well as recognizing one of our donors on the project, Parkview Sports Medicine.
