Huntington University senior Mike Bush is one of the nation’s top players as recognized by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) earlier today. Bush was an Honorable Mention selection this season as one of eight Crossroads League players to earn All American honors.

A Third Team pick last year, Bush led the nation in assists for the second straight year with his 8.5 assist per game average. The 5-7 point guard also tossed in 17.6 points, grabbed 2.7 rebounds and swiped a team-best 1.0 steals per night in his final campaign.

The South Bend native (John Adams HS) wrapped up the year with two additional national rankings which included finishing 38th in total scoring (562) and 43rd in assist/turnover ratio (2.3).

Bush concludes his time in green and white as a member of the HU’s 1,000-point club having scored 1,050 points in his two years at Huntington. He also piled up 590 career assists. His name will go down in the Forester record books for most assists in a game (18) and most assists in a season (317).
