For the second time in his Forester career, senior Mike Bush earned the Crossroads League Men’s Basketball Player of the Week honors as announced earlier today.

Bush led HU to a lopsided 97-71 upset over #3 Saint Francis last Tuesday. The South Bend native finished with a game-best 20 points to go along with 12 assists, five rebounds and a steal. In last week’s two games, he averaged 21.0 points, 13.5 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals, while shooting 61.5 percent from the floor and 55.6 percent from beyond the arc.

The 5-7 playmaker tops the NAIA in assists per game with his 8.2 average. Bush also tosses in 16.4 points per night in addition to collecting 2.7 rebounds. His pair of double doubles last week upped his season total to eight.

The Foresters (11-17, 7-9) face Taylor on Tuesday and wrap up the regular season by hosting Mount Vernon on Saturday. Platt’s crew is currently sitting in a three-way tie for sixth in the league standings.
