Pink Out 2018

The Huntington University women’s basketball team will host its annual Pink Out at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, at the University’s Merillat Complex.

Pink Out is an event to raise awareness and resources to advance breast cancer education and research. Proceeds from gate receipts, donations and “pink” popcorn sales will benefit the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer.

The event, sponsored by HU Student Life, Coach’s Connection and Town & Country Flowers will honor and celebrate breast cancer survivors during halftime of the Huntington University vs. Spring Arbor women’s basketball game.
In lieu of ticket sales, game-day admission will be exclusively on a donation basis with a suggested contribution of $7 per adult and $2 for children 12 and younger.

Breast cancer survivors will be honored guests for the game and will be admitted without charge. At the start of halftime, survivors will be escorted onto the floor for special recognition and presented with a complimentary gift provided by the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer.

“We encourage you to bring family, friends and breast cancer survivors on Saturday, January 27, as we ‘paint the gym pink’ (wear pink), honor survivors and raise funds to find a cure,” said Lori Culler, HU women’s basketball head coach.

To assist with planning for the halftime festivities, breast cancer survivors are asked, if possible, to register in advance by visiting our special HU “Pink Out” website.
